物主代词的用法
1、形容词性物主代词
形容词性物主代词通常作名词修饰语。例如：
His native is French.
Everyone was much impressed by her art of speaking.

形容词own常用在形容词性物主代词后面加强语气，解释为“XX自己的”。例如：
I won’t believe it unless I see it with my own eyes.
Billy put up a shed(小屋) in his own garden.

one’s own也可以作代词在句中的补语或宾语，常省略后面的名词。例如：
This minibus is our own.
Paul wants to have a new house of his own.
They would rather deal with the hard problem on their own.

2、名词性物主代词
名词性物主代词可以作主语、补语和宾语。例如：
John’s office is on the ground floor, but mine is on the third floor.(做主语)
Maybe the car key you found is his.(作补语)
She wrote down my address as well as theirs.(作宾语)

名词性物主代词常用于双重属格。例如：
I’ll send Christmas cards to some friends of mine.
We visited an art classroom of theirs.
