1. you have full control of your life
2. Pareto: focus on 20% leads to 80% gain
3. Parkinson's Law: work expands to fill the time that we allocate to it (tend to procrastinate)

Tactics

1. 2 minute rule: simple tasks less than 2 minutes, should be done immediately
2. batching: do similar work in batches
3. no TV watching on your own (TV as ok as social activity)
