荷叶生时春恨生，荷叶枯时秋恨成。
深知身在情长在，怅望江头江水声。

李商隐（约813—约858），唐代诗人。字义山，号玉溪生。怀州河内（今河南沁阳）人。开成（唐文宗年号，836—840年）进士。曾任县尉、秘书郎和东川节度使判官等职。因受牛李党争影响，被人排挤，潦倒终身。所作咏史诗多托古以讽时政，无题诗很有名。擅长律绝，富于文采，构思精密，情致婉曲，具有独特风格。然有用典太多，意旨隐晦之病。与温庭筠合称“温李”，与杜牧并称“小李杜”。有《李义山诗集》。
