2.cut 穿过（cut cut cut）

cut across the park.

cut through the forest.

3.like

like doing       (习惯性 经常性的) 喜欢做某事

He likes drinking coffee.

like to do        (具体某一次)喜欢做某事

He likes to drink tea now.

4.on fine afternoons

in the afternoon

前有修饰词的时候介词in改为on

on a rainy night

on a sunny mornings

5.as usual 像往常一样

He gets up early as usual

6.a passing boat 一只经过的船

   a passing car

   a passing plane

7.call out 大声叫喊

   call out for help

8.strike 撞 打击（struck   struck）

  fall fell  fallen

9. so...+adj/adv +that...  如此。。。以至于。。。

The ball struck him so hard that he nearly fell into the river.
