• Try to decouple the requirements for underlay and overlay networks (which can be divided by protocols, either) to diagnose separately.
• Have a basic understanding of three reasoning concepts: Deductive resoning, Inductive resoning, and Abductive reasoning.

• Error localization

1. From Verification to Causality-based Explications
   P2 describes how the causality used to localize root causes. (not finished yet)
2. Localization of Operational Faults in Cloud Applications by Mining Causal Dependencies in Logs Using Golden Signals
   This paper more like previous works on instability detection in BGP networks, the challenge here is it hard to reconstruct the causal link between event, which is not the key challenge for us.
   The golden signals means latency, Error, Traffic, and Saturation, which are measured by network monitoring.
