An Important Telephone Call

  Mrs Jane was waiting for an Important telephone call, but she has no bread in the house, so she left the baby at home and said to her five-year-old brother , "I'm going to the shops, Jimmy, and I will be back a few minutes."

  While she was out, the telephone rang, and Jimmy answered, 'Hallo', said a man,'Is there your mother there?', 'No', answered Jimmy. 'Well, when she comes back, said to her,"Mr Baker telephoned!"'

  'What?'

  'Mr Baker, Write it down, B-A-K-E-R.'

  'How do you make a B?'

  'How do I make .. .? Listen, little boy, is there anybody else with you ,brothers or sisters?'

  'My brother Billy is here.'

  'All right.' Jimmy tooke the telephone to the baby's bed and gave it to Billy, when their mother came back, she asked.

  'Did anyone telephone?'

  'Yes,' said Jimmy, 'a man , but he only wanted to talk to Billy.'

        简女士在等一个重要的电话，但是她家的面板吃完了，简把她的宝贝留在了家里然后对她5岁的儿子说:"吉米，我要去商店一趟，一会儿就回来！" 

        简一出门电话就响了，吉米接电话说: "您好!", 电话那边的男人说:"你妈妈在家吗?", 吉米说:"不在家!", 男人说:"那待会她回来的时候和她说本克来电话了!"

        "什么?"

        "本克先生，记下来, B-A-K-E-R"。

        "你知道怎么写B嘛？"

        “我怎么不知道.., 听着，小孩，你旁边还有其他人嘛，你的哥哥或者姐姐们?”

        "好吧"，吉米就拿着电话去比利的床边然后把电话给比利，妈妈回来问吉米说:" 有人打电话过来嘛?"

        吉米说: "有个男人打电话，但他只想和比利讲。"
