SAP Jam brings together several types of social collaboration including social networking, collaboration with external participants (customers, recruits, partners, vendors, suppliers), structured collaboration for problem solving (business tools to strategize, rank items, enabling groups to weigh in on options, etc.), and business process integration.

As a member of the new SAP Jam Customer Success engineering team, you will be designing and building a first-class Customer Lifecycle Management (CLM) system used by all business functional teams within the SAP Jam organization.  In addition to opportunities of working with current technologies, you will be working on a product that enables us to help thousands of our customers (and millions of users) realize the values of our Jam products.  And we work in a fast-paced engineering environment, with multiple teams of passionate and experienced engineers to learn from.

 

 

About the Role 

 

We are looking for bright engineers from varied backgrounds including UI, Server side (Java/Rails/Python/Node.js/…), and Infrastructure!!!   The Software Engineer’s responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, and documenting software, tools, and applications.

 

Responsibilities:

• Support the total design effort and participate in multiple projects, solve complex problems, and provide mentoring and support to more junior engineers.

• Evaluate and analyze software solution.

• Define, develop, and manage the whole process of a project for integration, and engaging individuals across various departments or organizations to resolve problems

• Work jointly with clients to ensure business requirements are clearly communicated

• Prioritize multiple requirements, and communicate to senior management the present status and future direction of the product integration strategy.

 

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in software development, engineering, or related field

• In-depth knowledge of Unix, Windows, JVM, Web servers, Application servers

• Solid knowledge of Java/J2EE, etc.

• Strong knowledge of DB, SQL programming

• Experience with security programming and concepts is preferred

 

Skills:

• Ability to work independently as well as with a team

• Ability to understand and master new technologies quickly

• Strong focus on quality and generating results

• Self-disciplined with strong attention to detail

• Proven ability to quickly understand and solve unique and undocumented programming problems

• Exceptional time management and organization

• Good communication skill and be fluent in English

• Energetic and self-starting

•  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
