Debate Topic:
"If you know the end of the world iscoming, should you tell others?"
This debate had a very interesting topic — "The end of the world".
The two teams fought a fierce battle. Does the end result matter? I believe that friendship comes first, and competition second. We all had a great time, so you could call it a friendly clash of minds. Let me tell you what happened...
Surprise Topics session
Today, our club welcomed a new member, Luna, which means that our big and warm family is growing. Anyone who is ready to take the step from wishing that his or her English was better and to start taking action to improve, is welcome at Spark Club.
SurpriseTopics Master -- George
George invited many friends to participate in a very, very interesting game. The game invited us to think of three things to bring on a ship at the end of the world. What would you bring? If you then had to throw out one of these things, what would you give up?
Most people's answers were surprisingly consistent: family, food...
After giving up all but one thing, most of the speakers ended up with only family. Thus, we can see that family plays a very important role in our lives! As far as I am concerned, my family will also be my first choice, it is the most precious thing in the world! In this way, we had a pleasant surprise topic session!
Debate Session
Affirmative Team (From left: Skye, Ophelia and Erin)
The affirmative side made the following explanation on the subject of the debate:
When crisis comes, we should tell our relatives and friends around us, so that people can be fully prepared to deal with it, which can minimize the loss to the greatest extent. Besides, they have the right to be told the truth! In the course of the debate, they also cited the example of the film -- 2012, which made the topic more real for us all!
Negative Team (from left: Amy, Cherish, and George)
The negative team expounded the following on the subject of the debate:
In times of danger, if we tell others, it will cause panic, or even great riots and agitation. Besides, there is another perspective: Other people might not believe what we say. Even if we tell them, they won't necessarily believe the truth. What's more, we should spend our time on more interesting things instead of filling our hearts with feelings of restlessness and panic...
Hearing their presentation, I felt very excited
Feedback Session
Inthe end, our timer-Bob did a related time report, which was really great!
Our gentle and beautiful sister Winnie welcomed our new members and commented on the performance of all of us present here. She worked so hard this evening!
Our Adjudicator, Thomas, also gave a final summary. He shared his thoughts, commented on the debate, and gave his reason for decision speech. It was a very, very loving speech!
This week’s outstanding performers were:

Best Function Role (Thememaster): Thomas
