▲ Design core values ©SPARK
The master plan and its business components are designed following the themes of “Smart, Green, Social, Art”, encapsulating the latest building management technologies, sustainability strategies, community and cultural elements.
▲ Scope of works: four towers, two phases ©SPARK
The completed phase one interior works include two out of four office towers (T1T5). The 4 tower interiors comprise of a total 95,500 square meters of leasable office space, including supporting amenities.
▲ Inspiration ©SPARK
SPARK’s Phase 1 interior design concept draws from the natural geometries found locally, the Nanshan mountains to the north and Taizi Bay to the south. The topographic layers of the mountain, its varying skyline, lighting qualities of the bay and the rhythm of sea waves reaching the shore are elements translated into the abstracted lines, colours, forms and textures of the interiors.

SPARK scope of works includes the ground level main lobbies, lift lobbies, lift interiors, sky lobbies, washrooms, pantries and common corridors, each designed with consideration of functionality and integration of the “Smart, Green, Social, Art” themes.

The entrance threshold to the office is a monochromatic double height space fronting a landscape plaza.

An “art” screen concealing the mezzanine is formed by twisted aluminum fins that create the subtle image of a mountain skyline.

This key design element is visible from the landscape plaza, like a piece of optical art it looks different from different vantage points. The polished marble floor has tonal gradation from dark to light, inspired by the rippling effects and textures of the sea washing against the shore.
▲ Concierge desk ©SPARK
The concierge desks are formed in a similar twisted form and are positioned against a backdrop of polished and matt stone. The twisted motif is repeated across the screens of the ground floor lift lobby, lift car interiors, door handles, benches and planters.
The Green Cube
▲ Basement lift lobby ©SPARK
The basement lobby is a key secondary office drop and entrance. It is designed as a green beacon within the carpark with a large backlit ‘canopy’ forming a welcoming threshold. The canopy morphs into a backlit ceiling masking the lobby’s limited dimensions.

Lift Wave
▲ Ground lift lobby ©SPARK
The ‘wave’ theme is used to articulate the main lift lobby feature wall via a sweeping pattern back lit screen wall at the end of the lobby space.
▲ Lift interior ©SPARK
This theme is extended into the lift car interior via a sweeping stainless-steel screen that has an etched patterned surface.

Sky Lobby with a View
▲ Sky lobby ©SPARK
The triple height sky lobbies are dynamic thresholds for the headquarter offices and are located at the corner of each floor plate to maximise views. The monochromatic language of the ground floor lobby is replicated in the sky lobby via art screens and polished surfaces.

Washroom with a View

The washrooms incorporate feature island basins, swivel mirrors, urinals with a view, vanity areas with a view and washroom doors with printed motifs.
