Keen to get ready for the workplace? Want to learn practical cloud computing skills that are highly transferable across industries? Want to get certifications which your future employer will favour?

USYD Cloud welcomes you to come to our Azure Certification Training and Certification and undertake Azure training taught by representatives from Microsoft Azure.

No matter what industry you’re in, Cloud Computing is really the future and learning it will really help you stand out from the crowd. Microsoft Azure is an ever-expanding set of cloud services in the industry, so why not take a stab at it now?

Students from all faculties are welcome 

no previous experience or knowledge in cloud required

  

 

Azure Training & Certification

This event covers a wide range of topics including Cloud and Azure, Azure Infrastructure as a Service, and Platform as a Service. Later sessions will focus on specialised areas in the Cloud Industry. Students will have the opportunity to take part in the Azure Certification Exam.

 

Event Schedule

All training sessions will be running ONLINE for 2 weeks!

Location: Microsoft Team Meeting

Time: May, exact schedule TBD

Week 1

1st session – Discover the cloud
An introduction to cloud computing principles and an overview of Microsoft Azure, including its identity model and resource management.

2nd session – Azure follow-up
Discover the different tooling available to interface with Microsoft Azure and understand its storage principles. Get to know its Platform as a Service offerings to prepare you for Week 2.

3rd session – Azure specific subject (to be decided very soon)

Week 2

4th session – Create a language translation app

Learn how you can create a canvas PowerApp that translates text for you.

5th session - Infuse Canvas Apps with AI

Learn how to train then embed a custom AI model into a Canvas App and also how to leverage pre-built AI models to feed a Canvas apps with intelligence using Power Automate.

6th session – Azure specific subject (to be decided very soon)

All of the sessions provide the platform for students to acquire the Microsoft Azure Certificate, however, it is not compulsory for students to go to all of them but we highly recommend you to do so.
Furthermore, if you miss one, do not worry as there will be recaps at the start of each session.

How to attend? VERY IMPORTANT!

Step1: Register

We will use Microsoft Team to do all online training sessions. However, Microsoft Team is not enabled in your USYD unikey account. You need to register this event using the link below and tell us your unikey email so that we could ask USYD IT to enable this feature for your account.

Step2: Install Microsoft Team

All attendees need to make sure you have Team installed on your laptops or phones.

Step3: Check for updates and emails
