Microsoft Teams is the fastest growing application in the history of Microsoft. In April 2020, it already had 75 million daily active users, up 70% just six weeks prior. To support the tremendous increase of Teams, we need not only the richness of Teams itself, but also its powerful extensibility, so that developers can build the their apps on top of Teams for their companies or millions of Teams users, just like what Jeff Teper, Corporate Vice President of Teams, said:

it’s a platform that transcends operating systems that will be even bigger than Windows. Yes. We want people to build Teams-based applications that run on ios, android, the web, the Mac, as well as Windows.

So, do you want to be the person who can help to make the Teams be more powerful, and provide the best, easiest development experience of building teams-based applications for millions of developers?

We, Developer Division China team, whose mission is to enable developers to unleash the power of Microsoft’s cloud platforms, is looking for Senior Software Engineers to help us to deliver the new Teams Cloud services and tools which is to connect Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud, and significantly improve the development experience of teams applications.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work with other engineers, PMs and partner teams to

Design and implement high quality, reliable tools, framework and services in Teams Cloud on time
Research and prototype the innovation ideas for optimizing the solutions for developers on Azure
Ensure that all the tools and services in Teams Cloud are monitored, healthy and highly reliable
Leverage Azure and Microsoft 365 services and external open source tools to make our Teams Cloud perfect
Be responsible for quickly detecting, mitigating and resolving any issues from customers in Teams Cloud services
Drive the improvement of system architecture and engineering system

Qualifications

6+ years of software development experience with at least a major programming languages like node.JS, C#, Java, etc.
Deep understanding of large scale cloud service development.
Great problem solving skills
Mindset of driving high quality software by adopting engineering best practices
Strong teamwork skills – know how to support a point and incorporate different opinions
Willingness to explore and apply new approaches and technologies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience.
