The Announcement of the SCS Mesoscale Processes Workshop

Sponsored by First Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration, the Functional Laboratory for Regional Oceanography and Numerical Modeling, QNLM, is planning to hold an “International Workshop on Mesoscale Processes and Deep Water Circulation in the South China Sea” This workshop is scheduled in the Sophia International Hotel (No.217 Hong Kong East Road, Qingdao) from October 13 to 15, 2017.

The series of the workshops on “Mesoscale Processes in the South China Sea” has been successfully held for 3 times, sponsored by Xiamen University on the topic of “Ocean Meso-scale Processes at the Luzon Strait”, by Guangdong Ocean University on “Mesoscale Processes and Ocean Mixing in the South China Sea”, and by the Chinese University of Hong Kong on “South China Sea Coastal and Ocean Meso-scale Processes”, respectively. This will be the 4th international workshop of the series, and will provide an opportunity for exchanging and sharing ideas and recent progresses on the mesoscale processes and deep water circulation in the South China Sea（SCS）. 

The workshop will include 6 sub-topics, and we are sincerely inviting you to attend.
