ubuntu 8.04中如何将GNOME设置为默认桌面系统

小弟前几天在ubuntu 8.04上安装了kde4桌面系统，并将其设置为默认桌面系统。发现当再用gnome桌面系统时，关机要退到登录界面才可以，这几天甚至连登录界面都退不到了，只能强制关机。
现想重将gnome设置为默认桌面系统，在网上摆了一下，貌似有个switchdesk命令，但ubuntu不支持...
还望高手指教，谢谢!
小弟是想将gnome重新设置为默认桌面，在登录时选择绘话里边的gnome虽能进入到gnome，但是关机时还会出现没有关机选项的问题

在登录界面上，在左下角有个选项，点一下选择会会话，找到gnome就行了。

关机直接用sudo poweroff吧。 参考技术B 我不是很熟ubuntu，登陆时候不是~先是X~windows，接着选择登陆的“会话”中选择KDE或Gnome或Xface~~ 参考技术C 广泛
