1. 强调句型结构

强调句型的构成：It is... that / who...

that可以指人，也可以指物，who只能指人。正常情况下都用that，因为通用。

2. 强调句型用法

I passed the examination last year.

对宾语进行强调：

It was the examination that I passed last year.

对主语进行强调：

It was I that passed the examination last year.

对时间状语进行强调：

It was last year that I passed the examination.

3. 强调用法总结

1. 强调句型是一个框架，强调哪一部分，就放到框架中间，也就是 It is … that … 中间省略号处；

2. 强调的内容在原句是什么样，进行强调时还得是什么样，不允许有任何改变；

3. 假如句子是过去式，is要换成was，而现在时/将来时都用is；

4. 一般不对谓语、表语进行强调。

4. 强调句和主语从句的区别

因为强调句结构只是一个框架，拿掉It is …that …后原句应当完整，而主语从句则不行。

It was yesterday that Ming’s mother cleaned the room.

拿掉框架，句子成型，强调语句：昨天，小明的妈妈打扫了房间。

It is obvious that students should study hard.

拿掉框架，句子不成型，主语从句：学生应该努力学习，这很明显。

5. 写作应用-强调以下句子划线部分

Respecting senior citizens proves a conventional virtue.

It is respecting senior citizens that proves a conventional virtue.

Many people fail to realize the importance of family education.

It is many people that fail to realize the import tance  of  family education.

The government has taken proper measures since last year.

It was last year that the government has taken proper measures since.

It was Hong’s brother that you met in the supermarket yesterday.

You met Hong's brother in the supermarket yesterday.

昨天，你在超市遇见了小红的哥哥。

It was on that day that I first met him.  

On that day , I first met him.

那一天，我第一次遇见他。

It is vital that every individual should be responsible for this issue.

Every individual should be responsible for this issue , which is vital.

每个人都应该为这个问题负责，这是很重要的。

It is the boy who I care for.

I care for the boy.

我喜欢这个男孩。

As was discussed before, it is the arrival of new satellite channels that will bring about the biggest changes in the long term.

As was discussed before, in the long term, the arrival of new satellite channels will bring about the biggest changes.

就如之前所讨论的，从长远来看，新的卫星频道的到来将会带来最大的改变。

7. 课后作业- 翻译下列句子，并按要求进行强调

我们经常在这家餐厅吃晚餐。（强调主语）

We usually have supper in this restaurant.

It is we that usually ha supper in this restaurant.

一个明智的选择对学生们的发展起着重大的作用。（强调宾语）

A wise option plays a vital role in the development of students.

It is a vital role that a wise option plays in the development of students.

学生们通过互联网了解了很多关于这问题的信息。（强调状语）

Pupils knew about a lot of information about / concerning the issue through the internet.

It was through the internet that pupils knew about a lot of information about / concerning the issue.

越来越多的人开始意识到这个现象的严重性。（强调主语）

More and more people begin to realize severity of the phenomenon.

It is more and more people that begin to realize severity of the phenomenon.
